Planning Perfect Wedding Marquees

Wedding Marquees need to be perfect in every way so it is vital that everything is prepared for as thoroughly as possible. This will help to reduce the risk of you being disapointed on the day, and also to reduce your stress levels in the build up!

As a minimum, we suggest that the following steps are undertaken :

  • Free Site Visit

Once you have chosen the companies that you are most interested in, you should meet them at the proposed site to assess the site itself and its suitability for a wedding marquee and to then discuss your own plans and thoughts for the wedding itself.

  • Type of Marquee

With an idea of the style of marquee that you prefer, the company should then be able to take you through the options for layout, internal decoration, furniture etc. They should also be able to provide you with a scale drawing of the proposed layout of the marquee.

  • Interior Design of your Marquee

A marquee is a blank canvas which is perfect for allowing you to create the atmosphere that you want for your wedding day. Carpets, linings, swags and furniture can all be provided in a variety of colours, and lighting can be used to really finish the effect off. The marquee company should discuss this with you at the site visit to get your initial thoughts, but changes can be made at a later date as you start to finalise your plans.

  • Detailed Quotation

With so many options available to you, it is important to get an estimate of cost for the wedding marquee, which breaks all the costs down into a great deal of detail. The company should send you this quotation in writing which then gives you a basis from which you can tweak your requirements.

If you follow these steps as a minimum then all should go well for the big day itself. If a marquee hire company is reluctant to do any of these things then it may be worth considering looking at alternative suppliers.
